Conversations About Climate Change

Conversations about Climate Change was a specially commissioned design competition, exhibition, and events series providing a platform for urgent climate debates.

A project for Timber Development UK, Conversations about Climate Change, asked designers to respond to tropical timbers from responsible sources to demonstrate the importance of this natural resource. The competition encouraged them to think about the materials they usually work with, and to consider how their role as a specifier is vital for implementing change.

The ‘conversation pieces’ were displayed at the Building Centre in 2021, and started a conversation about the climate crisis.
